Baseball :: History

Our correspondent in Washington alerts us to today's column (registration required) by Thomas Boswell in the Washington Post, which explains the arcane codes by which Major League Baseball's office of the commissioner has communicated its intent to bring the Expos in from the cold — the cold of Montréal, Canada, that is.

Although Boswell doesn't explicitly use the term, "kremlinology" was the way our correspondent described the column, and Boswell's use of "realpolitik" certainly evokes the Cold War. Someday, kremlinology.com may be a valuable site for historical information and perspective; but for now it's about as worthless as a Trabant with four flat tires.
