Wasted-Domain Wishlist

Baseball :: People

On this date in 1953, Ernie Banks made his Major-League debut with the Chicago Cubs. He went 0-for-3 and committed an error at shortstop, and the Phillies beat the Cubs 16-4. Perhaps not an auspicious beginning. But three days later, the man who would become "Mr. Cub" hit his first big-league home run, on his way to 512 in his nineteen-year career. Too bad his name is a wasted domain.

We're delighted to note that our awesome brother bought us a beautiful Cubs jersey with Banks's name and number (14) on the back for our birthday last week. Go Cubs.
