As a mid-eighties feminist, we've always thought this phrase was a contradiction in terms. Not — please, good friend, hear us out! — we repeat: not because women are not powerful, but because they're not "girls." But we have to admit that Charlie's Angels (with a little help from our mid-nineties-feminist wife) has convinced us otherwise. At the very least, we wish the .org and .net extensions weren't wasted.
